I'm still gathering info on the newly discovered Crewe tapes and will begin the process of transferring to digital in two weeks. The multi-track tape transfers are done at The Cavern. Owned by a former A&M Records colleague, Benny Faccone, the facility hosts the latest DigiDesign ProTools™ HD system.

Also having surfed the web freely (emphasis on freely) I came upon this website on how to pirate vinyl records. Actually, a more politically correct term should be ARCHIVE. Be that as it may, check out this site for more info courtesy of LifeHacker.com.

Outer Critics Circle Awards

The Jersey Boys win the "top tuner prize" at the Outer Critics Circle awards.

This bit of news by Gordon Cox of Daily Variety.

"Jersey Boys," the biotuner about the life and music of the Four Seasons, snagged three trophies, including top tuner and actor in a musical for John Lloyd Young, who plays Frankie Valli. Howell Binkley won for lighting.
